The shoe incorporates Mizuno Enerzy material, which provides 17% more cushioning and 15% more reactivity compared to the previous U4ic model. Sustainable materials are a key feature of the Wave Rider 27, with the wave platform crafted from eco-friendly Pebax RNew, a bio nylon made from castor oil. Recycled PET is used for the tie, eyelets, collar, tongue mesh, and upper mesh, while the back heel reinforcement is made from recycled synthetic leather. The midsole is painted with water-based dyes, reducing environmental impact.

This 100% vegan shoe is free from any animal-derived materials, ensuring no harm to animals throughout the creation and manufacturing process. The sole is constructed without noticeable bending cuts for a more reactive feel, providing a comfortable and stable experience for the wearer.
